Wild Birds around the Trust:

We are very proud of the birds that have decided to live and spend time at the trust during the summer months. We have, apart from the normal birds that you expect to find around lakes and water, Woodpeckers, Sand Martins, Kestrels, Owls and some very rare Finches.

Advice for disabled birdwatchers:

hawkBird watching is a pastime that can be enjoyed by everyone. These pages give some practical advice to birdwatchers with special needs and tell you where to get more information.

The Manderson Trust has many advantages, there are Disabled Toilets facilities for wheelchair users, Telephone, if the centre is open light snacks can be purchased during the summer months and reasonable road round the biggest lake. However, as birds are all around us, you don't need to go far to enjoy them. Watching birds from your car window, wherever you are, can provide hours of pleasure and interest. If you have a garden, there are many ways to attract more birds to it and bring them closer to your window.
