WARNING

It has come to our attention that we have a dangerous animal on the loose at the trust, last seen in lake 5 and after careful and meticulous research we believe it is a silver short haired walrus. If you see this creature please approach with extreme caution as he can be very volatile and is likely to charge. Although I'm lead to believe his bark is worse than his bite.

The Bait box

The board of The Manderson trust would like to say thank you to Alan and George at The bait box for their support and for giving all our members 10% on all purchases made at the shop on showing  membership card. As most people will know The Bait box has got a very good range of tackle to suit all types of fishing, With many products stocked from big names like Dynamite, Mainline, Nash and Shimano etc the range has been bolstered by being the only supplier, in Cambridgeshire, of the excellent MAGNUM BAITS by Paul Fowler.

Situated on the edge of the village of Willingham the Bait Box provides easy parking without travelling to Cambridge or Huntingdon and

To meet the demand of their growing customer base they are open 7 days a week. Opening times:

Tuesday          8.30am to 5.00pm

Goals

One of our goals is to install disabled swims on all our lakes and to continue to improve our fishery and to do this we rely on the generosity of our members and sponsors and generally all those just willing to help, to this end we have been able to purchase some disabled platforms with the guidance of the environment agency using recycled plastics we managed to install 10 platforms so far on lake 5  and in order to continue with this project we would be grateful of any contributions and help.

And here is a platform  being used by a fellow trustee Alan Pook

As you can see the platforms are level so wheel chairs can easily be located so you can fish easily and safely. There's no need to worry about the chair rolling in of the front or sides as there is a kick board and side boards fitted to all the platforms. So we hope any disabled anglers who wish to come and fish our lakes can come and relax and enjoy a days fishing.
