Start  of a new year at the Manderson Trust. With a whole lot of changes at the trust the Manderson trust seems to be going from strength to strength. The trust has appointed a new team of trustees and bailiffs that are working well together. Work has started on several different projects from the general maintenance to the ongoing swims project now that all the building materials have been donated by the Marshall's group not only that but all the electrical materials have been provided by Hagemeyer  Ltd for the new building. With all this work on going we have also appointed our first Patron to the trust. Mr. Bob Nudd and Mr.&Mrs. Bobby George have agreed to become patrons to the Manderson trust.

/ Again it seems that there is a low take up of volunteers to assist in the maintenance program this has to change if anyone finds that they can help out at the trust please phone Charlie as I am sure he could do with the help.

/ The Manderson Trust has appointed it first Child protection officer Mrs. Ann Lofty  Ann can be contacted on 01954 211307 this information can also be located in the trust lodge..

/ The trust has been successful in an application to the Awards For All part of the national lottery and managed to secure  £5000 to proceed with its Dredging and road way maintenance  program. After going out to tender the board of trustee voted for M Dickerson's to complete the work by the 20th of may. After the roadways are completed we will also need to repair the swim areas these will be slabbed and path edgings around the slabs with a place for your brollys. As always we need volunteers to help with this work anyone available please see a trustee thanks.

/ The trust held its open day on august the 3rd. The day was fantastic and reports from all areas were great the trust patrons Mr. Bob Nudd and Mr. Bobby George and Mrs. Maria George where all in attendance at the trust. Also with the help of Bob he made a visit to all the children that were fishing and gave out great advice to all. Then Bobby Maria and Bob walked around lake five sighing autographs also there on the day were Mr. Tom legge and Darren who was taking photos of bob and the children. We also had visits from Anglia Television and Q103 radio station and Star 107 FM who were around for most of the day i think we all had a very nice day to remember with no hick ups so here's to next year.

/Work has continued by the same members as usual to keep the trust running. The main work that has been done was the job of dredging  lakes five and four this work and a lot more work to the road system has now been completed and what a good job by Dickerson's (Mr. Robin Stern) cheers Rob more work has still to be done this will take place when the board meets and discusses what need doing.

/The trust has been busy in its charity matches with two more taking place in the last few months. The first was The Jordan Steward match for Gt Ormond Street Hospital where in a joint effort between the Manderson Trust and Macro cash and carry of Ipswich. First the Trust had a fishing match were we collected £207 pounds this i took to macro told them about Jordan and they let us have three tv-dvd combos and then they donated another two so we in fact took five of these units to Gt Ormond Street Hospital Ladybird Ward they were over the moon to say the least so thanks to every one that was involved.

/ The next charity event was for a young man named Samuel Watson from the Strong bones Trust we again held a fishing match but this time held matches at other venues including Bobby Georges own lakes and raised over £500 pounds this was added to other funds from The Strong bones trust and was enough to send this young man to Orlando to swim with the Dolphins all at the trust wish Samuel and his Family all the best.

/ The trust has seen a few changes on the board firstly Mr. A Duffy has been appointed as trust secretary also Mr. Geoff Lofty has been appointed Vice Chairman to the trust there has also been more appointments to the board. The board has appointed Mr. Bill Atkinson as trustee and Mr. Mike Goodayle also as trustee the board welcomes the new trustees.

/ The trust has yet again had another brake-in and this time they broke in to the new store gaining access via the new security door it make us wonder if it worth it carrying on doing this work just for someone to come along and help themselves to equipment that took a lot of fundraising to collect.

/ The trust has a new webmaster he's Mr. Andrew Steggles who is a current disabled member good luck in your new position Andrew
