Stocking the lakes
Netting the lakes in August

Stocking Program:

2nd April 2004 - 4000 plus Small Mixed Carp were introduced into the Manderson Trust Lakes. The fish averaged between 3 to 5 inches and were in top class condition showing lots of colour.

These fish will grow on very quickly and soon reach 4 to 5 lbs giving us some good sport in about 3 years time.

2000 odd were put into Lake 1 and the other 2000 or more were put into Lake 4.

The New Fishing Fund that was started only this year helped us to purchase these fish, with continued growth of this fund hopefully we will be doing the same next year.

2004 - With the funds made from our membership’s fees, matches, raffles etc. last year, we were able to purchase some more young fish for our restocking program.

On Friday 2nd January 2004 the Trust received 1350, 2 year old Bream from Mainstream Fisheries at cost £500.00 + vat. These fish were of top quality

2003 - 2000 mixed 2-year-old fish were introduced into Lake 1 at the end of February 2003. These will re-produce in time and provide the Trust with further stocks for the future. Again in May this year, we put a further 550 Crucian Carp into lake 5.
